COVID-19 Statement

March 16, 2020

Dear JCBS Community:
Johnson County Board of Services (JCBS) has been monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact to take appropriate and necessary precautions in order to ensure the health and safety of the individuals we serve, our community, and our employees, all while continuing to deliver uninterrupted services. I want to share with you the steps we are taking at this time:

Meetings and Monitorings

Effective immediately and per the Division of Developmental Disabilities, all person-centered planning meetings and face-to-face monitoring shall be conducted via telephone. The annual reassessment process will be modified to allow for completion without need for face-to-face meetings until this directive is lifted.

Closing Office to Visitors

Our office will be closed to visitors from March 16th – March 31st, 2020. This will be re-evaluated and updated as needed.
Communication and Coordination
These decisions have been made in the best interest of the people we support, considering the latest guidance from public health experts. We will communicate any changes or updates via email, text, and social media. Sign up for Textcaster to make sure you have the most up-to-date information:
